Get answers to common questions about Base Color.

A typical Base Color appointment runs about 45–75 minutes, including consultation and application. Processing time varies by formula but averages 30–40 minutes. Blowdry and styling are not included, so add extra time if you’d like a finished blowout.

Yes — our Base Color provides 100% gray coverage at the base when applied correctly. Coverage depends on hair condition and previous color; your stylist will choose the right formula and developer strength to ensure thorough, long-lasting gray neutralization.

Base Color focuses on root coverage and even base tone and does not include highlights or balayage. If you want both, schedule a combined color service or consult your stylist; we’ll recommend the best timing and pricing to achieve multi-dimensional results.

A patch test is recommended for first-time clients or if you have a history of sensitivities. We advise testing 48–72 hours before your appointment to ensure safety. If you've previously colored with us recently, your stylist may waive the test after consultation.

Base Color covers up to four weeks of regrowth and keeps roots blended. Most clients book touch-ups every 4–6 weeks to maintain even tone, though individual growth rate, hair porosity, and washing habits can affect longevity.

Blowdry is not included with Base Color. We can add a professional blowout or styling for an additional fee — please request when booking. Allow extra appointment time if you want a finished look to avoid scheduling delays.
