Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Ombre.

Timing varies with hair length, color history, and desired lightening. Most Ombre services take 1.5 to 3 hours including consultation and color application. Blowdry is not included; allow extra time if you'd like a styled finish.

Our consultation assesses hair condition and history before any lightening. Some clients need pre-lightening sessions for optimal tone; we use professional products and bond-building treatments to protect integrity. Your stylist will recommend the safest plan to achieve your desired ombre look.

Ombre is designed for softer grow-out, so root touch-ups are less frequent than full-color services. Maintenance depends on contrast and personal preference; many clients return every 8-12 weeks for refreshes, toning, or gloss treatments to maintain vibrancy and tone.

Dark hair can sometimes receive subtle ombre effects using demi-permanent color or warm lowlights, but achieving lighter, high-contrast ends usually requires bleaching. We'll evaluate your hair during consultation and propose the most flattering, healthy approach to reach your desired look.

Blowdry is not included with the Ombre service. If you'd like styling, you can add a blowout or finishing service at booking or after your color appointment. Your stylist can recommend the best finishing options to showcase your new ombre.

Use sulfate-free shampoo and cool water to protect color, and wash less frequently to prolong vibrancy. Apply a color-safe conditioner and weekly deep-conditioning or bond-repair treatment. Use heat protectant when styling and a purple shampoo as needed for blonde-toned ends.
